GENERAL

These terms and conditions apply to the use of www.comparelegalsolutions.com ("the Website"), which is made available to you, a User of the Website, by Compare Legal Solutions Limited of Mossfield House, Chesham Fold Road, Bury, Lancashire, BL9 6JZ ("Compare Legal Solutions").

Compare Legal Solutions is regulated by the Ministry of Justice in respect of regulated claims management activities; its registration number is CRM21876

SOLICITORS CODE OF CONDUCT

Compare Legal Solutions will use its best endeavors to comply with the Solicitors Code of Conduct, in particular Rule 7 and Rule 9. The solicitors on our panel all pay us an introducer's fee per 'lead' which is a set fee depending on the area of law, this does not affect the rates that are given on the results pages. This is not a charge from the Firm to the Users, as this service is free to Users.

For all possible CLS funded leads, all firms that appear in the results section pay a subscription to advertise their services, which also includes a back office application available for their use. Compare Legal Solutions receives no further payments based on number of leads sent to the Firm in order to comply with the Code of Conduct.

All solicitors on our panel have entered into a written agreement with Compare Legal Solutions that ensures they fully comply with the Solicitors Code of Conduct and that all information advertised on the Website is a true reflection and up to date.

USE OF THE WEBSITE

You agree not to use the Website:

• to create a database (electronic or otherwise) that includes material downloaded or otherwise obtained from the Website except where expressly permitted on the Website;
• to transmit or re-circulate any material obtained from the Website to any third party except where expressly permitted on the Website;
• in such a way so as to remove the copyright or trade mark notice(s) from any copies of any material made in accordance with these terms;
• to upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libellous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
• to upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of solicitation;
• upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, damage, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
• in any way that might infringe third party rights or that might bring Compare Legal Solutions into disrepute.

Compare Legal Solutions reserves the absolute right to refuse or remove any content that is available on the Website.

REGISTRATION

Certain aspects of the Website may require you to register and provide certain information about yourself and where you do this you agree to: (a) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by the relevant registration form (such information being the "Registration Data") and (b) maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to keep it true, accurate, current and complete.

Registration Data and certain other information about you is subject to our Privacy Policy which can be found below.

The registration processes on the Website will involve you being allocated with a unique Username and Password that gives you access to your Account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Username and Password, and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your Password or Account. You agree to (a) immediately notify Compare Legal Solutions of any unauthorised use of your Password or Account and any other breach of security, and (b) ensure that you exit from your Account at the end of each session. Compare Legal Solutions cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these requirements.

Third Party Rights

The copyright, and other rights, in some of the material appearing on or in the Website may belong to third parties. You may not (save as allowed in these terms and conditions) copy, reproduce, transmit or distribute any such material without the license or permission of the author and you agree to pay any costs or expenses incurred by Compare Legal Solutions which may arise as a result of your failure to obtain such license or permission.

The Website may contain material (including, but not limited to, advertisements) posted by third parties. Individual users and advertisers are solely responsible for the content of advertising and other material which they submit to the Website and for ensuring that such content complies with all relevant legislation. Compare Legal Solutions accepts no responsibility for the content of material submitted by third parties, including, without limitation, any error, omission or inaccuracy therein.

Save unless otherwise stated, no warranty whatsoever is given as to any goods or services purchased, obtained or offered to you through use of the Website, whether accessed directly or otherwise, and no liability is accepted by Compare Legal Solutions in relation to any contract entered into by you with any third party on or by means of the Website.

The Website may contain links to external websites. These links are included to give users the opportunity to access other pages that it is felt may be of assistance to them. Compare Legal Solutions is not responsible for the content of these Internet sites.

Complaints Procedure

Compare Legal Solutions will always aim to provide an efficient and effective service. However, if you are unhappy with our service, then please contact our Customer Services Team by writing to Mossfield House, Chesham Fold Road, Bury, Lancashire, BL9 6JZ, by telephone on 0845 408 1750 or by e-mail to enquiries@comparelegalsolutions.com. We aim to respond and resolve your complaint within 48 hours. If we are not able to do so, we will provide you with an acknowledgement and a final response. Depending on the nature of your claim and if you remain dissatisfied with our response, you may have the right to refer your case to the Claims Management Regulator by calling 0845 450 6858 / 01283 233309 or e-mailing info@claimsregulation.gov.uk.

Liability

Whilst effort has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the information, Compare Legal Solutions is not a qualified provider of legal services and as such it cannot be relied upon to provide accurate legal advice. The content on the Website has been provided from a number of sources and Compare Legal Solutions does not accept any liability for this information. It is the responsibility of users to check the accuracy of relevant facts and opinions given on the Website before entering into any commitment based upon them.

Nothing in these terms serves to exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury arising from negligence or any liability which is otherwise prohibited from being excluded by law.

Privacy Policy

Compare Legal Solutions is registered under, and will process your personal data (which includes your Registration Data) in accordance with, data protection legislation. You agree that the personal data that you provide to Compare Legal Solutions may be processed by Compare Legal Solutions for the purposes of:

• processing your requests;
• providing you with information by email or other means;
• providing you with information about products and services of Compare Legal Solutions or other parties;
• providing a personalised service;
• maintaining accounts and records;
• statistical analysis and conducting market research surveys;
• assessing and evaluating the use that is being made of the Website; and
• information and databank compilation and administration.

This processing of your personal data may involve Compare Legal Solutions disclosing your details to regulatory bodies and/or other third parties.

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from matters relating to the Website shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
